The Wellness Wedges Model™

The Wellness Wedges Model™ is the core wellness framework of Panoptic Wellness™. It includes a combination of 3 different Wedges, each of which includes three different areas. There are three Core Competencies that provide holistic balance in our lives and four Foundational Methods that provide pathways to growth. Please see below for more information and visuals!

Intrapersonal Wedge: How you relate to yourself

  1. Emotional: How you integrate your emotions into your life for positive management and expression
     

  2. Mental: How you engage your mind to continually challenge, shape, and expand your thinking or beliefs
     

  3. Physical: How you care for your body through intentional thought, belief, and action

 

Interpersonal Wedge: How you relate to others

  1. Community: How you relate to friends, neighbors, groups, etc. to create support systems and fulfilling relationships
     

  2. Family (All Types): How you develop balance, satisfaction, and connection to your family (of origin, partnership, or choice)
     

  3. Intimacy: How you develop and maintain commitment to a deeper connection while maintaining individuality and self

 

Extrapersonal Wedge: How you relate to the bigger picture

  1. Livelihood: How you structure your life to make it function (job, stay-at-home, retirement, finances, etc.)
     

  2. Spiritual: How you connect to the intangible ideas and bigger-than-self concepts to find purpose and meaning
     

  3. World: How you relate to the global aspects of life and leave the world in a better place than you received it

  1. Aspiring Thoughts: Positive perspective, open mindset, and progress not perfection
     

  2. Self-Affirming Feelings: Accepting emotions, value your strengths, and believe in yourself
     

  3. Keenly Balanced Behaviors: Identify personal energy budget, reorganize, and stabilize input/output

SEEDs - The Foundational Methods

  1. Strengthen: Identify positives, solidify foundation, and uplift/affirm all areas
     

  2. Expand: Gain knowledge, develop insight, and increase confidence to determine the path forward
     

  3. Envision: Imagine the possibilities, picture how it feels, and believe that you can do it
     

  4. Do: Add, replace, or reduce behaviors to increase desired outcomes
